Chikara Masuda - Early Life & Enlistment

Chikara Masuda was born on Nov 24, 1918 in Palo Alto, California, the 15th of 19 children.  His family grew strawberries and other crops near Niles, CA.  Chikara graduated in the top ten of his Washington Union High School class in 1938.

He worked his family's strawberry farms until Chikara enlisted in the Army in October, 1941.
