1947 Lord Elgin Model 4505
Arthur Lutro was presented with a stunning 14k gold Lord Elgin. It is 33mm long by 24mm wide, and is powered by a Grade 559 21-jewel movement. It came in yellow or rose. Model 4505 featured hooded lugs and a raised, square-cut faceted crystal (as you will note in photos where the hands look distorted....)
Lord Elgin was the Elgin Watch Company's premiere model, featuring top-of-the-line designs, cases, and movements. This Model 4505 was introduced around 1941 and was sold through the late 1940s. This watch retailed between $100 and $125 in 1947 -- over $1,000 today!
