Lt. Ethan W. Allen Biography-3

Lt. E. W. Allen: Aviation Career / Carrier Pilot

Ethan Warren Allen was raised in Kansas, and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1927. He immediately enrolled in the Naval  aviation training program, and flew early carrier-based planes during the 1930s, such as the Curtis F7C Seahawk, Martin T4M Torpedo bomber, and Grumman F2F fighter.

 

Allen served aboard the carriers USS Cincinnati and USS Lexington, and was stationed in Pensacola, Pearl Harbor, and Corpus Christi.
