Lt. E. W. Allen & Errol Flynn's 1941 movie "Dive Bomber"
In 1941, Navy pilot and author Robert Winston was stationed as a trainer at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, and became friends with fellow trainer Ethan Allen. Warner Brothers purchased the movie rights to Winston's 1939 Dive Bomber book; Ethan shared his piloting experiences with Robert Winston, which were incorporated into the movie script.
