Fashion Competition
​
Alice's extraordinary talents were not limited to farming, floral arrangements, or canning. In 1931, her "white shantung with a blue jacket and white accessories" entry won 1st prize in the Oregon 4-H fashion competition.​
​
She and two other 4-H Fashion category winners won trips to the 1931 Chicago National 4-H convention.
