1933 Gruen Tank Watch
Each member of the 1933 LSU National Championship Track Team was awarded a custom-engraved Gruen 14k white gold, 17-jewel wristwatch. The "Gruen Tank 10 Calibre 997" model sold for $35 in 1933 -- approximately $800 in 2024 dollars!
Each watch was engraved with the name of the team member, and "LSU ~ National Track Champions ~ 1933"
