William McKenzie: Tours of Duty

During his 20-year Navy career, "Mac" rose from a Lieutenant/Junior Grade to Captain. He served on seven ships (five submarines, two supply ships), and on operational assignments:

  • Commanding Officer, Navy Training Center (Bellingham, WA)

  • Staff, Pacific Fleet Commander in Chief (Admiral Arleigh Burke)

  • Commanding Officer Naval Ordnance Engineering Facility, Bangor WA
