1930 Illinois Wristwatch
Mildred Riley was awarded this Art Deco styled watch for winning the Illinois State Corn championship in 1930. It is engraved, “Mildred Riley ~ Jr. Class ~ Grand Champion Corn ~ I.B.A. [Illinois Bankers Association] ~ 1930”.
It features a 14K white gold filled case with an engraved geometric pattern on the top, sides and crown. The watch has the original white gold filled Hadley brand metal bracelet. The watch measures 1-1/4" tall x 3/4" wide including the crown
Mildred's watch has a 17 jewel #807 mechanical movement. The white watch dial features black hands and numerals. Marked inside the back case is "Model #208 ~ Keystone Watch Case ~ 14K Gold Filled".
The watch came with its original maroon Illinois display case, and Mildred's hand written note "I won this watch in 1930".
