Alfred Riha Biography-1: Overview
Lt. Alfred Riha (1923 – 1991)

Lt. Alfred Riha (1923-1991) was born and raised in Inglewood, California. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in March 1943, and received his initial pilot’s training at Santa Ana, CA. He was a member of Luke Airfield’s “44-A-3” class; his photo is in the SIR! yearbook.

I could find very little information about Alfred’s military record, or his post-war career. He did pilot C-47 cargo planes while stationed at Tinker Air Base Oklahoma in 1945.

The Holux Watch Connection:

Lt. Riha graduated from Luke Air Base Class 44-A on January 7, 1944, along with fellow pilots William Buttner and Benjamin Brew. He did enlist at Santa Ana CA, and probably received initial pilot training there with Buttner and Kitzman.
